Damien Sneed is a pianist, organist, conductor, composer, producer, arranger, and arts educator whose work spans multiple genres. Our Song, Our Story is an evening of music highlighting some of the world’s most well-known operatic arias, art songs, and spirituals – paying homage to musical greats like Marian Anderson and Jessye Norman, who paved the way for other African American opera singers.

A competitive pianist since age 3, Canadian-born pianist Harmony Zhu is now delighting major concert halls only a decade later at age 14. From Chopin to Beethoven to Barber, Zhu brings sensitivity and maturity beyond her years to her playing and this repertoire. Her performance with the Harriman-Jewell Series will mark her Kansas City debut and the Series’ 60th free Discovery Concert since 2004.
