SUPPORT THE SERIES

Dear Friends,

We’re delighted to showcase the 61st Season of the Harriman-Jewell Series! Every season is filled with the promise of more dazzling artists from around the globe making their way to Kansas City’s doorstep, and this performance year is no exception.

This season will feature two renowned composers of the Metropolitan Opera: Terence Blanchard and Kevin Puts; extraordinary symphony orchestras from Boston and Mexico City; dance from Ireland; gospel music from South Africa; pianists from the Netherlands; New York City’s finest Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; and Kansas City’s hometown heroine, mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato in a brand-new work.

These artists alone are enough to be celebrated, but we had more to do! Naturally, we wanted to top off another brilliant and colorful season with a special engagement concert that would make a lasting impact. This December, cellist Yo-Yo Ma returns in solo recital at Helzberg Hall, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, in what is sure to be a breathtaking evening of music and cultural connection.

We will end the year highlighting what the Series does best with a once-in-a-lifetime performance experience. Featuring three of today’s most legendary performers, our final concert of the 2025–2026 Season unites Evgeny Kissin (piano), Joshua Bell (violin), and Steven Isserlis (cello) in an unforgettable trio performance. This uniquely curated concert will be a perfect end to the season and demonstrates the core tenants of the Series: to bring the highest quality of artistic performances to Kansas City, to present a variety of diverse art forms, and to always be open to the discovery of new artists.

We have worked tirelessly to offer you a season that engages and inspires – with something for everyone! Thank you for your continued support; it is a demonstration of Kansas City’s love of the performing arts and a postcard from our community that our artists take with them throughout the world.

We look forward to seeing you in the 25/26 Season!

Warmest regards,

Eryn Bates Kemp, Executive Director
Clark Morris, Artistic Director
