The Philadelphia Orchestra, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, conductor

  • Helzberg Hall | Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts 1601 Broadway Kansas City, MO, 64108 United States (map)

Yannick Nézet-Séguin's career as a conductor has been meteoric, but that can happen when you're a natural-born genius. In short order, the 42-year-old has been selected as music director of both the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and The Philadelphia Orchestra. Nézet-Séguin will conduct the fabulous Philadelphians in Helzberg Hall when he makes his Harriman-Jewell Series debut. Georgian violinist Lisa Batiashvili will perform as soloist for Tchaikovsky's popular Violin Concerto
